Cocktails tend to use several different liquors and alcohols, which you may not stock in your bar. You may not want to go out and buy every last bottle, but a good mixology class will teach you how you can mix and match, even if you start with a small selection of bottles in your bar. Mixology class will teach you how to prepare great cocktails in minutes, and without four dosen ingredients. You’ll learn that some of the best cocktails are actually deceptively easy to make. It’s about learning to balance flavours. In addition to learning how to mix cocktails, you will also have the opportunity to meet likeminded individuals – individuals that enjoy a good cocktail, and hopefully, good conversation.  Also, you’ll learn some awesome new terminology to replace “that scoopy thing”, “that weird glass”, “the shakey-majig”, and “that weird long spoon”, to name but a few.

You will learn methods of cocktail preparation in terms of building a drink, stirring, shaking, layering, muddling, straining, smashing…oh and drinking. You will prepare and make a range of classic and contemporary cocktails including: Collins, Margaritas, Daiquiris, Caipirinhas, Sours, Mojitos, Martinis and much more.

Ultimately, you’ll learn the secret to ratios. You’ll learn how to make cocktails with basic ingredients such as fruit, cherries, syrup and so forth. The key is to find the ratio that ensures that you enjoy your drink.

You can now register for an exciting Learn to Make Cocktails class, strictly for over-18s. Experience an exciting introduction to the world of cocktails, providing you with a practical foundation in the mechanics of mixology and cocktail preparation at work and home.
