Something that can easily be taken for granted when living in South Africa is the amount of outdoor experiences we are able to do. We do not have to travel very far to be exposed to amazing scenery and thrilling adventures. The weather is almost always in our favour – even in the middle of winter we can experience 2 weeks of sunshine. Even if you live in Cape Town and it is pouring with rain (and if you are financially able to) you could hop on a plane and in 2 hours be in a place that is sunny and warm and full of exciting outdoor activities.
Celestial Gift Experiences offers a wide range of outdoor experiences for individuals and groups as well as corporate companies. From motor sports such as rally self drive experiences and quad biking adventures to various flying experiences such as skydiving and microlight flight.
When I think of outdoor experiences I usually only think of picnics, walks in the forest and going to the beach. But there is actually a whole world of excitement out there that so many people are completely unaware of. Bungee jumping, river rafting, aerobatic flight, F1 self driving experiences, abseiling and sand boarding are just a few of the amazing outdoor activities that you can experience in South Africa.
It is true, unfortunately, that these activities are not cheap but in my opinion, it would most definitely be worth it. If, however, you are someone who has a large amount of moolah lying around and you are spending most of your weekends at home or at restaurants, then I suggest you hop onto the outdoor experience bus immediately.
You might be thinking that a “thrill” is not really what you are after so why bother investigating the joys of outdoor experiences any further, so let me break it down for you. Aerobatic flight is the spinning, turning, upside down (in my opinion, completely nauseating) experience which is definitely for the brave. However, on the other hand you have microlight flight which a scenic air tour with breathtaking views in a very safe biplane, vintage plane or helicopter.
On one hand you have rally self drive experiences where you go very fast while following very fast instructions and basically just watch the world zoom past you as you try to remember why you did this in the first place. And then you also have quad biking adventures which are far slower and not as intense and I am assuming that you can just plod along at your own pace.
My not so supportive opinions of super extreme, adrenalin (and vomit) producing experiences reveal that I am a girl who likes it slow and controlled. No matter what kind of person you are, there is an extreme outdoor activity that you will enjoy. So go for it, take a deep breath and dive into the world of extreme outdoor experiences and I promise that you will not be disappointed.
